Issue #3 - Spring in their step

Tesco’s Supermarket Mobile promotes the qualities it brings to customers in this major above-the-line campaign

Tesco Mobile is represented as an imaginary supermarket in its latest work, created by Bartle Bogle Hegarty.

The campaign follows a shopper as they move through a make-believe store, stopping for “value baked in” at the bread counter, perusing shiny new handsets at the meat counter, picking up “frozen contracts” in the freezer section, loading up with jumbo boxes of data in the laundry aisle, and getting 10% off their grocery shop at checkout.

Channel 4 Championing Women's Voices

In celebration of International Women's Day 2021, Channel 4 paid homage to the powerful achievements of an array of inspiring women across its platforms, with the accompanying hashtag #ChampioningWomensVoices. On Monday 8th March the broadcaster handed over its airwaves to a selection of remarkable women in celebration of the important role they have played during the pandemic. They shared their stories with Channel 4 viewers throughout the day’s schedule via special continuity announcements aired together with a bespoke Channel 4 ident.

Lego: Future Builders

This International Women’s Day (IWD), Lego recreated its iconic 1981 ad, 40 years after it first ran. Designed to ‘encourage and champion today‘s young women‘ the campaign gives them the opportunity to insert themselves into the frame, creating their own personal version.

The campaign responded to research that found 73% of parents believe gender differences are driven more by societal expectations than biology.

My recommendation this month…

Read Happy Sexy Millionaire: Unexpected Truths about Fulfilment, Love and Success by Steven Bartlett.

This month, Steven Bartlett (the 28-year-old founder of the social media marketing agency, Social Chain) has released his first book.

It is clear, to the point and definitely a bit of what I need at the moment.
